A little about this plant
Elevate your interior with the dramatic opulence of Philodendron gloriosum, a magnificent terrestrial Aroid famed for its massive, heart-shaped leaves. Featuring a velvety, dark-green surface accented by striking, pale ivory-to-pink veins, this iconic species spreads horizontally via a crawling rhizome, bringing immediate architectural impact to brightly lit rooms.
Why It Belongs in Your Collection:
-
Velvety Heart-Shaped Leaves: Produces luxurious, tactile foliage with deep green tones and prominent, crisp white-to-pink vein networks.
-
Distinctive Crawling Habit: Unlike climbing Aroids, Philodendron gloriosum is a terrestrial crawler that loves long, rectangular planters where its rhizome can creep across the soil surface.
-
Statement Collector Plant: Highly prized by plant enthusiasts for its dramatic leaf size and rich texture, serving as a captivating focal point in any collection.
-
Toxicity / Pet Safety: Toxic / Irritant. Contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals that can cause oral irritation, burning, and digestive discomfort if ingested by pets. Keep safely elevated or out of reach.
