A little about this plant
Timeless, resilient, and effortlessly versatile, Hedera helix (English Ivy) brings a classic European woodland charm to indoor interiors. Distinguished by its signature lobed, evergreen leaves and woody trailing vines, this fast-growing classic cascades gracefully over shelf edges or weaves seamlessly along wires and climbing supports.
Why It Belongs in Your Collection:
-
Classic Cascading Habit: Forms dense, trailing curtains of glossy green foliage that fill out hanging pots, macramé hangers, and high shelving.
-
Adaptable Light Tolerance: Exceptionally versatile, thriving in medium to bright indirect light while handling cooler rooms and shadier spots better than most tropicals.
-
Air-Purifying & Hardy: Renowned for its hardiness, vigorous growth, and ability to clean indoor air while maintaining lush growth year-round.
-
Toxicity / Pet Safety: Toxic / Irritant. Contains triterpenoid saponins that are harmful to cats and dogs if ingested, causing oral irritation, drooling, and digestive upset. Display safely elevated on high shelves or in hanging planters.
